In 1845, in politically as well as economically troubled times, Carl Fidelis Graf laid the foundation stone of the Zollerscher Hof before the walls of the town of Sigmaringen. He was a hard-working brewer and landlord, soon became successful and, in 1868, was able to hand over to his son Hermann Graf a highly flourishing pub with a brewery and malt house. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

| In 1894 Hermann Graf was one of the first to install electric light. For 41 years he guided not only the fortunes of the brewery but also revealed an intense attachment to his home town through his long-time collaboration on the Town Council. In 1899 he handed over to the next generation: Paul Graf followed in the footsteps of his father. His wife Maria ran the pub with great success. |

| Paul Graf was not only a brewer but also a passionate businessman. He first increased beer sales and in 1911 he built a new brewery. Ever the optimist, he planned it to be exactly four times larger than he needed. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| Today this building still forms the heart of the Zollerhof. In 1938 his son Hermann Graf and brother-in-law Alexander Fleischhut together took control to steer the brewery safely through the turmoil of the Second World War. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
